will be presented by the Argentinian harpsichord and lute maker Sebastián
Nuñez, and will be illustrated with the harp by Lincoln Almada.
Organization
The first Summer School of Ancient Latin American Music will take place at
St-Affrique in the premises of the Cap Vert reception centre (http://planete-capvert.com/).
The choral and orchestral scores will be sent to selected candidates in order
that they arrive at the Summer School having already studied them and resolved
the majority of the technical problems. Non sight-readers who have been selected
must obtain help in order to be able to participate in the workshop under the
same conditions as their sight-reading colleagues. In addition to practice sessions
involving the whole group, the different voices of the choir and different instrumental
groups will work separately, under the direction of one of their number who
will be elected, and according to the technical instructions given by the musical
director.
The Summer School will end with a public concert given by th e participants
as part of the XXVIII International Festival of Sacred Music of the Abbey of
SylvanÃ?s on Saturday 30th July 2005.
IMPORTANT:
Neither the Association Academia Musical de Indias nor the Centre International
de Rencontres Culturelles et Musicales possesses any musical instruments, apart
from the organ. Each instrumentalist must, therefore, bring his own instrument.
For organisational reasons, no insurance is offered for the instruments
and participants should therefore obtain insurance in their own country before
leaving for Sylvanès.
Tuition fees
The total fee is 250 ?, payable in two instalments: a deposit of 65 ?
with the final booking, and the balance at the beginning of the workshop.
Accomodation fees
